Fisherman's body found in lake near Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, Minn. -- A fisherman’s body was pulled Lake Andrew two miles south of Alexandria on Monday night.

At 8:22 p.m., the Douglas County Sheriff's Office received a report of an empty boat floating on Lake Andrew. Deputies and the dive team responded, as well as LifeLink helicopter and the Forada First Responders.

Deputies learned the owner of the boat left to go fishing at about 3:30 p.m., but did not return as scheduled at 5:30 p.m.
