State rests case in Jourdain trial: Text messages, communications part of Friday testimony

BEMIDJI -- Attorneys prosecuting a Bemidji man charged with felony murder rested their case Friday after three days of testimony from about 20 witnesses and the presentation of more than 70 pieces of evidence.

Brian Keith Jourdain, 26, is charged with two counts of second-degree murder, one with and one without intent, in connection with the February 2015 death of Krista Marie Fisherman, 35, of Redby. The trial began Monday with jury selection.

Evidence and testimony introduced Friday provided new details of Jourdain’s communications and whereabouts the day of Fisherman’s death in the form of text messages, recorded phone calls and police officer accounts.
