White Earth Nation General Election Official Results

WHITE EARTH, MINN. – Terrance "Terry" Tibbetts defeated Melinda (Mindy) Iverson, 1,279 to 674, for Chairperson in the White Earth General Election held Tuesday, June 14. Eugene (Umsy) Tibbetts defeated Barbara Fabre, 485 to 415, for District III Representative. Here are the official results:

Terrance "Terry" Tibbetts 1,279 65%

Melinda (Mindy) Iverson 674 35%

District III Representative

Eugene (Umsy) Tibbetts 485 46%

Barbara Fabre 415 54%

The White Earth Reservation Election Board held an official recount this morning and the numbers changed slightly. Terry Tibbetts picked up 10 extra votes. The change was attributed to a typo during the election returns on Tuesday night.
