Patricia "Patty" Bartholomew (Morris), age 49, of Richfield, MN passed into the Spirit World unexpectedly on Friday June 3, 2016 at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN

She was born on November 4, 1966 in Robbinsdale, MN the daughter of Leonard Morris II & Susan Seller.

Patty was joined in marriage to Kevin Bartholomew on February 14, 1994.

She was formerly employed as the Manager of the Echo-Cardiology Department of North Memorial Hospital & had worked in this field for 20 years.

Patty breathed life into everything she was involved in. She had an infectious smile that you couldn't help but smile back at and in that moment everything, no matter how bad, would be ok. She cared for her Mother and family deeply; more than herself and far more than anything else. Her greatest joy would come when her family was all together eating and sharing laughs. Even when she was in a great deal of pain she would still go above and beyond for her family and many others. The passion she had for cooking for her family spread happiness throughout and even inspired members of her family to take up careers cooking delicious food for others and spreading joy even further. Her cooking skills were matched by her creativity that found its way into everything she did. From making gifts for newly born babies, crafting with her grandbabies and other little ones in the family to finding a way to help someone truly in need whether it be by raising their spirits somehow or helping them solve their problems altogether. Her sons meant the absolute world to her and experienced many of her gifts on a daily basis. Besides being with family she would find peace and happiness in little things such as relaxing outside in her chair on a beautiful day while she would feed needy cats, reading a good book or just driving and listening to her favorite radio station 88.5 (jazz). She loved spending time with her grandchildren and even though she was limited in her physical ability in her final years she made up for it with love and kindness. A thousand pages could be written and it wouldn't come close to measuring Patty's kindness, love and legacy. From her childhood acting as a second Mother to her siblings to help out, being a loving, supporting wife and 2nd Mother to her late Husband's children, becoming a caring leader in her career and after her career still having enough strength and love to look after her family and be a full of life, loving Grandma, Mother, Daughter, Sister & Auntie. She touched many people in her beautiful lifetime that was cut far too short. But she definitely made the most of her time here, loved as hard and as much as she possibly could.

Patty was survived by her parents, sons, Tristan Morris, Michael Bartholomew; step-children, Christina Bayo, Brandon Bartholomew, Crystal Martinez; Brothers, Leonard "Sonny" (Star) Morris III, Stanley "Sam" (Adrienne) Morris, Charles "Dewey" (Devonne) Geshick; sisters, Rebecca "Becky" (Steve) Chumley, Michele Walker, Kayla Duane; Grandchildren, Ahshya Morris & Jermaine Morris; numerous nieces, nephews & many other relatives & friends including special friend, Mike Johnson.

Preceded in death by her husband; her grandparents, Leonard Morris I & Verna Doe; her nephew, Caleb & great-nephew, Ethan

Gramadonna writes:

Patty was a worker Grama and a Grama in common with Ahshya and Jermaine, over the past 13 years of knowing her she has always been a friend/ family to me. I will miss her deeply! I do take comfort knowing she is no longer in pain. Her suffering has ending for her. I hope one day to be reunited with her, and once again enjoy her food. I love you Grama Patty, until we meet again, Grama Donna
