If Native Americans aren't offended by the word Redskins, why should we?

Many consider “Redskin” a racial slur against Native Americans. But if Native Americans are not offended by the word, do others still have the right to be offended for them?

A recent poll by the Washington Post may have taken the air out of the national fight to remove the mascot “Redskins” from teams at high schools, colleges and, most famously, in the NFL.
