Pine Ridge hospital shooting involves officer

An officer of the Pine Ridge Sioux Tribe Police Department was involved in a shooting at Pine Ridge Hospital Friday morning, according to authorities.

The shooting happened about 10 a.m. Friday, and one person was wounded, said tribal police Capt. Anthony Long Soldier.

He declined to reveal what led to the shooting, the condition of the injured person or if the incident resulted in any arrests.
