Karson Joseph Brun-Neadeau, "AKI GWEWEZANCE" – Little Boy of the Earth, "GIDAAGI BINAASE" – Spotted Bird, 10 months old, of Red Lake, began his spiritual journey on May 19, 2016 at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis. He was born on July 6, 2015 in Bemidji, the son of Mallori Brun and Devin Neadeau.

Karson was a smart, happy, lovely, bubbly, sweet little boy who loved attention and was learning how to crawl. He always had a smile on his face and loved to watch Paw Patrol with his mommy. He loved to be held by his grandmas Jan and Kathy. Karson always wanted to play with Ambrea, Aubbie, Delaynie, Rylan and Charlize. They always had him smiling and laughing so hard. He could brighten up anyone's day with his beautiful eyes and handsome smile. He loved to listen to pow-wow music with his daddy. Karson also loved to go cruising in grandma's car and playing with all his toys.

The family that Karson joins again are his great grandparents; Barbara Brun, Fabian and Agatha Strong, Katie and James Neadeau, Ida Cook and Anna Auginash, uncles; Derrick Brun, Eric Neadeau, Roger Strong, Jr. and Mikey McNeal, cousin; Courtney Brun, great aunt; Diane Cook, numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Those he leaves behind to miss his smiling face are his parents; Mallori Brun and Devin Neadeau, grandparents; Kathy Brun, Bobby Whitefeather, Janet and Clarence Drouillard, Roger Strong, Sr. and Duane Cook, Sr., great grandparents; Francis "Chunky" Brun, Alivia Neadeau, George Kelly, Jr., Henry "Hanky" Cook, and Viola Cournoyer, Darlene Drouillard and James and Holly Drouillard , aunts; Kayla Neadeau, Erin Brun, Tashia, Brandi Strong, Jamie Thunder, Dee and Lee Cook, Miranda Roberts, uncles; Kyle, Ryan Neadeau, Daniel Brun, Duane Cook, Jr., Troy Cook, Selam Spears, Dylan Strong, Kyle and Shane Garrigan, great aunts; Vicky Brun, Sharon, Donna Cook, Delma Roberts, Cheyenne and Sunni Drouillard, great uncles; Francis Brun, Jr., Jeff Brun, Wendell, Richard Cook, Kevin Cook, James III and Raymond Drouillard, special aunts; Shirley McNeal, Mary Ellen Cook, Ina Mae, Barb Cook, Kylah Roy, Meghan Deegan, Kristi Fairbanks, Karen Ramirez, Kaleisha Anderson, special uncles; Dylan, Lydell and Cody Cook, Josh Lussier, Jordan Drouillard, great uncle; Merle Kelly, numerous cousins and other relatives.

A wake for Karson will begin at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the Red Lake Community Center and will continue until the 2:00 p.m. service on Tuesday, May 24, held at St. Mary's Mission in Red Lake. Father Jerry Rogers will officiate. Pallbearers for Karson will be Lydell Defoe, Daniel Brun, Josh Lussier and Jordan Drouillard. Alternates will be Fran and Brett Brun. Honorary pallbearers will be Ambrea Vasquez, Delaynie Brun, Aubriana Vasquez, Kendra Johnson, Kylah Roy, Meghan Deegan, Kayla and Kyle Neadeau, Erin Brun, Kristi Fairbanks, Dylan Cook, Cody Cook, Eddie Fairbanks, Lindsay and Kali Johns, Jeremy Roberts, Verdell Beaulieu, Brianne Brun, Virgil Skinaway, Jr., Chloe Cook and Daisey Mondragon. Interment will be held in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake following the service.
