RED LAKE -- A runoff election will be scheduled in four Red Lake districts after the general election was held Wednesday. Voters went to the polls to elect representatives to four-year terms in the Ponemah, Redby, Red Lake and Little Rock districts.
If candidates receive 50 percent of the vote plus one, they are declared the winner of the race; however, if no candidate receives that number, a runoff election is then set by the tribal council of the top two vote-getters.
