CROOKSTON, Minn. -- A Canadian company with a plant in Crookston has expanded a recall of sunflower kernel products due to a possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
SunOpta, based in the Toronto area, called the expansion a "precaution" in a news release issued Wednesday. The initial recall was limited to sunflower kernel products produced at its Crookston facility between Feb. 1 and 19, and the expansion includes products produced Feb. 20 to April 21.
