Knockout punch at Mille Lacs resort kills Twin Cities man; suspect charged

A late-night confrontation between two Twin Cities men outside a Lake Mille Lacs resort left one of them dead from a punch to the head and the other jailed on numerous felony counts filed Monday, authorities said.

The clash occurred at the outset of the annual Minnesota fishing opener about 1 a.m. Saturday outside Nitti's Hunters Point Resort on the lake's eastern shore, according to the Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office.
