1 dead after river incident in northern Minnesota

BAUDETTE, Minn. - A man has died after an incident on Rapid River in northern Minnesota.

Authorities were called to the stretch of the river near Clementson Rapids just after 5 p.m. Friday, according to a news release from the Lake of the Woods County Sheriff’s Office. Crews pulled Inpong Douangmala, 64 of Warroad, from the river.

He was taken to LakeWood Health Center in Baudette, where he was pronounced dead.
