BENA -- Minnesota U.S. Sens Al Franken and Amy Klobuchar plan to visit the Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig High School on Friday.
The visit from the senators is the first since nearly $12 million in federal funding was secured to rebuild the dilapidated school on the Leech Lake Indian Reservation.
The visit will start at noon when Franken and Klobuchar and Larry Roberts, Acting Assistant Secretary on Indian Affairs, tour the school and meet with local officials, students and teachers.
