Meeting a need in Beltrami County: Commissioners approve hiring additional staff as caseloads involving children mount

BEMIDJI -- The Beltrami County Board of Commissioners authorized the hiring of two additional employees as the number of cases related to children’s care increase.

The two employees would take different positions, one as a child protection case manager and the other a children's adoption worker. During a work session just before its regular meeting Tuesday, the board heard from Health and Human Services Director Becky Secore and Beltrami County Social Services Director Jeff Lind ,who described the two positions.
