United Educators Credit Union Presents 'Guide to Money' to Red Lake High School Students

Apple Valley, MINN. - Two hundred fifty high school students from Red Lake High School were recent recipients of the CUNA 'Guide to Money'. The booklets, funded through a grant from the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation, provide students with a resource that is theirs to keep for future reference and to share with their families. In addition, United Educators Credit Union collaborated with business teacher, Kenny Bellino, to instruct his class on valuable information taken directly from the booklet.

Bellino said, "Thank you very much for all your time and expertise that you shared with our students. I look forward to your visits for years to come."

United Educators Credit Union has been supporting the Red Lake schools since 2006. Every fall, Al Grandt, volunteer board member, visits the Red Lake community to learn their most urgent needs for books, school supplies and winter clothing.

"The Red Lake school district holds a special place in the heart of UECU. As an education based credit union, we feel it is important to serve the needs of students and faculty in this community by providing tools to enhance learning," said Al Grandt.
