Wallace Theodore Jones, age 75, of Minneapolis Journeyed to the Spirit World on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Providence Place in Minneapolis.

He was born on January 20, 1941 in Cass Lake, Minnesota the son of Theodore R. Jones and Vera Critt.

Wallace loved watching all sports, playing cards and Dominos with his family. When he could, he loved to travel from the West Coast to Chicago. In his youth, he liked to dance in the Tribal Dance songs at Pow Wows.

Survived by two sisters: Madeline Boswell and Verna Jones Strub; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters: Leonard Morris, Wesley Jones, Alfred Jones, Melvin Jones, Phillip Jones, Phyllis Taylor and Gloria Jones.

An all night wake will be held on Friday, April 29th, 2016 beginning at 5:00 P.M. at The Minnesota Chippewa Tribes Building in Minneapolis.

An all night wake will be held on Saturday, April 30th beginning at 5:00 P.M. at Mission Community Center, in Cass Lake, Minnesota.

Funeral services for Wallace Jones will be held on Sunday, at 10:00 A.M. at The Mission Community Center in Cass Lake. Interment will follow at The Family Burial Cemetery in Cass Lake.

Officiating will be Mike Dahl.

Honorary Casket Bearers all his family and friends.

Casket Bearers will be Michael Weaver, Ben Boswell,Jeffrey Weaver, Cecil Westerman Longie, Gary Wickner and Antonio Yanez.
