BEMIDJI -- It was a good workout negated by frybread.
Men, women and children in elaborate feathered regalia, plain old blue jeans or something in between danced and danced and ate and ate Saturday at the second annual Bemijigamaag Powwow.
“We had so much fun last year, we wanted to do it again,” Bemidji Mayor Rita Albrecht told the crowd at the not-quite-half-full Sanford Center. “Too often culture separates us. Today it brings us together.”
