Fargo lawmaker, pair of tribal members from North Dakota American Indian reservations fill gaps in Democrats' slate of statewide candidates for the June primary

BISMARCK, North Dakota — A state lawmaker from Fargo and a pair of tribal members from North Dakota American Indian reservations made eleventh-hour filings to fill gaps in Democrats' slate of statewide candidates for the June 14 primary.

Democrats will now challenge Republicans' stronghold on the Public Service Commission, state treasurer and insurance commissioner. No Democrat came forward by the deadline late Monday to run for state auditor.
