ROSE DOWNWIND CASE: Hearing for Rossbach rescheduled for May

BEMIDJI—A contested omnibus hearing for Brandon Rossbach, 31, who's been charged with aiding an offender in relation to the death of Rose Downwind was rescheduled Tuesday in 9th District Court.

The new date for the contested omnibus, a pretrial hearing dealing with the admissibility of evidence, is May 24.

In a contested omnibus hearing, if a judge determines there's not enough evidence for probable cause, the case can be dismissed. However, if the judge determines a case has merit, it can move forward to a trial.
