March of Dimes Kicks off Biggest Fundraiser to Help Babies Be Born Healthy

April 12, 2016 (Bemidji, MN) – On Saturday, April 16 at Bemidji State University Rec Center, hundreds of families and business leaders will join together in the March of Dimes annual March for Babies—the nation’s oldest walk fundraiser honoring babies born healthy and those who need help to survive and thrive. Last year, more than 300 people attended the event and raised over $51,000.

There will be many activities – including rock climbing, face painting, balloon animals, bounce houses, huge silent auction and a kids only auction! A light lunch will be provided by Downtown Meats, Perkins, Walmart, Old Dutch, Luekens, Am Dairy Association, Nei Bottling, and Culligan.

March for Babies, the March of Dimes largest fundraiser, helps fund lifesaving research and educational programs aimed at helping moms have healthy babies. People are encouraged to sign up for March for Babies at marchforbabies.org and start a team with co-workers, family or friends.
