Pleading guilty, Crow Agency man says killing of bald eagle was for 'cultural use'

Saying he killed a bald eagle for “cultural use,” a Crow Agency man pleaded guilty on Thursday to federal crimes for illegally taking and transporting the protected migratory bird.

“I didn’t think I’d end up here,” said Alexander Birdinground Jr., 43, in U.S. District Court in Billings.
