Human-caused fire reported on Mescalero Apache Reservation

A fire started Tuesday morning on the Mescalero Apache Reservation about 15 miles southwest of a 150-acre fire burning in Ruidoso. The Bureau of Indian Affairs says the fire was human-caused.

The "Cienegita Fire" is located southeast of the Cienegita Lookout Tower in Miserable Canyon. It was first reported just before 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
