ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS - RD Instruction 1942-A (Guide 19) (Attachment 1)

REDBY COMMUNITY CENTER - PHASE 2 - REDBY, MINNESOTA

Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of the Redby Community Center Phase II will be received by delivery or mail at the office of Cherilyn Spears, Economic Development, 15484 Migizi Drive, Red Lake, Minnesota 56671 until 10:00 a.m., prevailing time, on Tuesday, April 26, 2016; and then at said office publicly opened, and read aloud.

All bids must be sealed and clearly marked, "BID FOR: REDBY COMMUNITY CENTER PHASE II", along with bidder's name, and must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the net base bid amount, payable to the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians, to be forfeited as liquidated damages and warranty that the successful bidder enter into and fulfill his contract and furnish the usual bonds (Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond) as required by the Specifications within ten (10) days after Notice of Award of Contract.

The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following locations:

Office of the Architect, Owner and Duluth Builders Exchange, Minnesota Builders Exchange, Grand Forks Builders & Traders Exchange, Fargo-Moorhead Builders Exchange, Construction Market Data and Dodge Data & Analytics.

Electronic copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained March 28, 2016 by contacting Jessica Lautigar at DSGW Architects; jlautigar@dsgw.com. Hard copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained upon request for the Redby Community Center at the office of the Architect, DSGW Architects located at 2 West 1st Street, Suite 201, Duluth, MN 55802; Phone 218-741-7962 by depositing the sum of $100 for each set.

Deposit checks in the amount of $100 shall be made out to the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians. A non-refundable shipping and handling fee of $25, made out to DSGW Architects, will be charged to those bidders wishing to have plans shipped to them. There will be no shipping and handling fee for those bidders who pick up the plans at the Architects office in person. Any BIDDER, upon returning the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS promptly and in good condition, will be refunded the payment and any non-bidder upon so returning the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS will be refunded the payment.

No Bidder shall modify, withdraw, or cancel his Bid or any part thereof for thirty (30) days after the time designated for the receipt of bids.

All prospective bidders are notified that the prevailing wage rate must be paid to all persons employed at this project.

Preference will be given to Native American Bidders.

The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid which best serves their interests.

Pre-Bid Meeting: A pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the site. All interested parties are urged to attend.
