Maci Lorena Nelson, of the Eagle Clan, age 2 months and 6 days, began her spiritual journey on Saturday, March 19, 2016 in Rochester, MN with her family surrounding her.

Maci was loved by all who knew her. Even though her time here was short, she touched our hearts.

The family that Maci joins again are her grandma; Louise Shelley, great grandparents; Francis "Jug Head" Stillday, Marlene Raincloud, Shirley Shepherd, and Levi Williams, Sr., and one great-great grandma Lorena Raincloud.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her parents; Dominic Nelson and Cordelia Williams of Bemidji, siblings; Sage Nelson and Maximus Nelson of Bemidji, grandparents; Teri Nelson of Ponemah, Kenton Stillday, Sr. of Faribault, MN, and Damascus "Troy" Williams of Pennington, great grandparents; Gail Stillday of Red Lake, Mary Ann "Moose" Cutbank, of Kelliher, MN, and George Earth of Kelliher, MN, great-great grandparents; Ruth Beaulieu of Red Lake, and Roy Nelson of Ponemah, other uncles, aunts, and relatives.

A wake for Maci will begin at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 24, 2016 and will continue until the 10:00 a.m. service on Saturday, March 26, all held at the Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah. Spiritual leader will be Steve Jackson. Pallbearers will be Kyle Stillday, Jr., Matthew Johnson, Jordan Dow, and Benjamin Kingbird. Alternates will be Kenton Stillday, Jr., and Dayton Nelson. Honorary pallbearers will be her brother, sister, uncles and aunts. Interment will be held in the Raincloud family burial grounds in Ponemah following the service.
