Shooting prompts Northern Cheyenne officials to declare state of emergency

LAME DEER - A drug-related shootout at a Northern Cheyenne business over the weekend has prompted tribal leaders to take drastic measures, according to the tribe’s president Tuesday.

Those measures include the banishment of non-tribal members, regardless of whether they own land in Lame Deer, if they are participating in illegal drug activity, said President Llevando Fisher.
