Drug bust leads to 3 arrests in Onamia

ONAMIA—Three people were recently charged for drug crimes after law enforcement seized more than 8 grams of heroin and more than 7 grams of methamphetamine in Onamia.

Officers from the Great Nations Gang and Drug Task Force along with officers from the Mille Lacs Tribal Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant March 10 on Virgo Road in Onamia. Besides seizing the drugs, agents also found several firearms and stolen property from recent burglaries. An additional search warrant was drafted to take custody of these items.
