CROOKSTON, Minn. -- A 52-year-old man was sentenced Thursday to about 8 1/2 years in prison for stabbing another man in the chest with a steak knife last year at a Crookston retirement home.
Brian Christopher Mitre of Crookston was charged with first-degree attempted murder of then-68-year-old Gary Anderson, as well as first- and second-degree assault charges.
Anderson told court Thursday he was "disfigured" from the stabbing and still has chest pain.
