Press conference addressing a deadly form of heroin set for Wednesday

BEMIDJI—The Minnesota Department of Public Safety will join local law enforcement Wednesday in Bemidji for a press conference addressing a deadly form of heroin that is likely responsible for a string of deaths across the state.

Investigators and outreach/prevention personnel are expected to speak at the press conference, share what they know about the recent deaths and this new batch of the drug.

The press conference is set for 1 p.m. at the Beltrami County Law Enforcement Center.
