Man gets 4 months for fleeing Moorhead police chief in stolen car

MOORHEAD – A 23-year-old man has been sentenced in Clay County District Court to four months in jail stemming from a Jan. 11 incident in Moorhead involving a stolen car and a police chase.

Ryan James Love, Mayville, N.D., initially faced a long list of charges following the incident, including fleeing, theft, criminal vehicular operation and DUI.

He ultimately pleaded guilty to one count of fleeing and one count of criminal vehicular operation and was sentenced to 120 days in jail, with credit given for having already served 61 days.
