THIRD TIME'S THE CHARM: Red Lake hopes this year's team can finally get that elusive win at state
The Red Lake boys basketball team is tired of simply making it to the Class A state basketball tournament.
When the Warriors take on Browerville-Eagle Valley at 1 p.m. today in their quarterfinal game at Williams Arena, they’ll be playing in the tournament for the third consecutive year.
“I’m excited to be there but I’m not happy with just going to state, I want to finally get a ‘W’ down there,” senior forward Jeremy Martin said. “We didn’t do too well the first year. The second year we should have won but we fell up short. This year we’re going to come out and play, give it everything we have, and put it all on the floor.”
