Prior Lake OKs tribe agreement with some objection

Prior Lake will offer no comment on the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community’s latest fee-to-trust land application in lieu of a utility and right-of-way agreement approved by council members in a special meeting on Wednesday.

The 3-2 approval came after debate among Prior Lake City Council members about the city’s response not only to the tribe placing additional land in trust status, but also on easement access for future sewer and water connections to the Spring Lake Township annexation area.
