MDA supports MN companies at Natural Products Expo West

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) is coordinating a Minnesota Pavilion at the Natural Products Expo West (NPEW) tradeshow this week to help small Minnesota natural foods companies introduce their products into the growing natural foods market. Held in Anaheim, California, NPEW is widely recognized as the foremost natural foods event worldwide. Last year more than 70,000 industry professionals and more than 3,000 exhibiting companies attended the show.

The MDA coordinates Minnesota Pavilions at many domestic tradeshows and some of the world’s largest international trade events. Participating companies receive discounted booth space, marketing support, and help at the show from MDA staff.

Seven Sundays is one of twelve Minnesota companies participating in “Team Minnesota” at NPEW. Chief Executive Officer Hannah Barnstable says her company will use the show to launch a new product.

“We’re very excited to participate at NPEW with all these great Minnesota brands. The MDA provides a wonderful service to our food entrepreneurs by bringing us together, which translates into cost savings, networking opportunities and marketing synergy that wouldn’t be possible if we were exhibiting separately.”

Food buyers and others attending NPEW are invited to visit with the creative entrepreneurs behind these growing Minnesota-based natural food companies March 11-13 in Booth 5413 and 5414 in Hall E at the Anaheim Convention Center:

• Buddy’s Nut Butters, Minneapolis (natural nut-butters)
