Section 8A West Championship – #2 Northern Freeze 45 vs. #1 Kittson County Central 40

Kittson County Central trailed much of the game. They'd take their first lead midway through the second half, but it wouldn't last long. After having the one point lead, it would go back and forth, with lead changes and ties that would make the rest of the night very interesting. It came down to offensive production of setting up open opportunities both inside and out for the Northern Freeze. They'd also manage to dominate inside on the rebounds to come up with second chance points that helped lead them to the Section 8A Championship Friday night at the Ralph.

The Bearcats' Trent Jerome took over offensively to give them a huge spark including back to back three pointers that gave them the lead in the second half. He was able to create for himself and not only find some open looks, but force the Freeze defense to get off balance and get to the free throw line as the result. A big missed free throw for the Bearcats followed by an intentional foul resulting in two points at the free throw line for the Northern Freeze got the momentum shifted to their side for the final ten seconds of the game and made it impossible for Kittson Co Central to get back make a come back.

Northern Freeze as a team 7-11 from the free throw line, 34 rebounds, 15 turnovers

Cole Dahl 13 points, 15 rebounds

Jonah Underdahl 11 points, four rebounds

Caleb Knutson eight points, eight rebounds

Freeze take a 23-6 record into the Section 8A Championship Friday night

Kittson County Central 12-19 from the free throw line, 19 rebounds, eight turnovers
