Teen critically hurt, 2 in custody after stabbing in Woodbury after section basketball game
A 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the chest and at least two teenagers were taken into police custody after a fight broke out Thursday night in front of East Ridge High School in Woodbury following a basketball game.
That stabbing victim was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul in critical condition, authorities said.
It remained unclear whether any of the boys involved were students at East Ridge or any other school involved in the game going on at the school. East Ridge was hosting the Class 4A, Section 4 boys’ basketball championship game between Tartan and North St. Paul. The North St. Paul Polars won 70-65.
