Heartbeat Suicide Loss Survivor Support Group

Bemidji, MN - The next meeting of the Heartbeat Support Group for survivors of suicide loss will be March 8th. Many people who have lost a family member, friend, classmate, or colleague to suicide find that sharing openly with fellow suicide loss survivors about what they’ve lived through can help with the healing process. The March group will be viewing a film The Journey from the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention. The film tells the stories of a diverse group of suicide loss survivors that are weathering the loss of a loved one, and how they are finding their way back to a life rich in meaning—and even joy.

The group is open and appropriate for adult survivors who have lost a loved one to suicide as well as those supporting a survivor. The groups will be held the second Tuesday of each month. The sessions will run from 7-8:30pm. The group will be held at the Evergreen Youth & Family Services Drop In Center at 610 Patriot Dr NW, Bemidji. The support group will be facilitated by adult suicide loss survivors trained in support group facilitation. Please visit http://www.evergreenyfs.org for a map and directions.
