Energy assistance still available in Beltrami, Cass counties
BEMIDJI -- There is still time to apply for Energy Assistance Funding this winter season if you live in Beltrami or Cass county, officials said in a release.
Funds are available for help with heating and electric bills to assist households that meet income guidelines.
The following are the household size and maximum income guidelines for three months: one person, $5,987; two people, $7,829; three people, $9,671; four people, $11,514; five people, $13,356; six people, $15,198; seven people, $15,543; eight people, $15,889 and nine people, $16,234. Assistance amounts are determined by the number of people who live in the home, the type of heat used, the previous year’s heating cost and the gross income the household has received the three months before the date the application is signed.
