Victim of Duluth hotel drowning identified

DULUTH, Minn. -- Authorities have identified the 22-year-old man who died after being found unresponsive in a Duluth hotel pool early Sunday.

Nathan Timothy Fihn of Newport was pronounced dead at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center after being found in the pool at the Radisson Hotel Duluth-Harborview about 1:15 a.m. Sunday, the St. Louis County Sheriff 's Office reported.

The hotel issued a statement Sunday saying that Fihn drowned "after gaining unauthorized access to the pool after it was closed for the evening.
