Former Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton substitute teacher faces sex charges

MOORHEAD -- A former substitute teacher for the Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton School District is accused in Clay County District Court of having sex with a student who was in her classes.

Tara Michelle Nichols, 39, of Glyndon faces two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct for engaging in sex with a student who was 17 at the time of the alleged conduct.

According to a court complaint filed in the case:

A parent contacted authorities in January stating her juvenile son was receiving inappropriate messages and pictures from Nichols, who was a substitute teacher at the time.
