Report released on Schoolcraft director's suspension

BEMIDJI—Scott Anderson exhibited unwelcome and unprofessional behavior in his relationship with a former school employee, according to details of an independent investigation released this week. The findings do not, however, clearly establish his behavior was of a sexual nature.

Anderson, director of Schoolcraft Learning Community, served a three-day suspension without pay last week after the investigation found he acted unprofessionally toward Emily Williams, a paraprofessional and nurse who left the charter school last year. She filed a complaint against Anderson with the school in November, prompting two separate independent investigations.

The new report details a friendship that evolved from professional to social to, at times, flirtatious—though Anderson and Williams stand by conflicting testimonies that can't be easily verified.
