BEMIDJI, MN—February 25, 2016 -- The Northwest Minnesota Foundation (NMF) is delivering Self-Defeating Habits of Otherwise Brilliant People, a course designed to help create a positive work environment. Through thousands of seemingly insignificant interactions, teams unknowingly create environments that are either cohesive or adversarial.

In this seminar, the specific behaviors, and their far-reaching consequences, become stunningly clear. You will learn why negative assumptions pick up momentum and spread, how to short-circuit destructive disagreement, and eliminate unconscious behaviors that spark power struggles and mistrust.

This session will be offered in Bemidji at the Northwest Minnesota Foundation Conference Center on April 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. To register, please visit, under upcoming events - click to see full calendar.

Trainer Anna Maravelas integrates her experiences with cutting-edge research on neuroplasticity, conflict resolution strategies, anger management, and process improvement. Every year, her organization Thera Rising teaches thousands of leaders, employees, and HR professionals how to preempt and resolve escalated conflict and mistrust.

The workshop is limited to 30 participants. A limited number of scholarships are available. Please contact Dawn Ganje, to inquire.

The Northwest Minnesota Foundation invests resources, facilitates collaboration, and promotes philanthropy to make the region a better place to live and work.
