PREVENTION SPECIALIST – ALCOHOL REHABILITATION PROGRAM
CHEMICAL HEALTH PROGRAMS

Primary Function:
Assist in the development of prevention activities and prevention curriculum. Reports to the Alcohol Rehabilitation Prevention Program Supervisor, full-time position, w/benefits, Salary; DOQ.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties:
• Assist in the development of prevention activities and prevention curriculum.
• Must have knowledge of the Red Lake School Systems.
• Document and record information on all required forms and other paperwork as required.
• Attend mandatory training sessions and/or workshops as required.
• Must be able to work on evenings and weekends as required.
• Provide Rule 25 assessments.
• Follow up on discharged clients and provide intervention services.
• Provide groups, family counseling, work with other services for the purpose of client needs.
• Maintains records on clients from treatment to aftercare to prevention activities.
• Abides by confidentiality rules and regulations.
• On – Call 24 hours a day seven days a week.
• Refrain from all mood altering chemicals when employed by the Chemical Health Programs.
• Mandatory participation in alcohol/drug testing when called upon.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Must be a High School Graduate or have a GED.
• Must have an interest in working with youth.
• Must have a valid license and auto insurance.
• At least one (1) year of chemical dependency rehabilitation experience.
• Must be willing to become a certified Rule 25 assessor.
• Must have good work ethics.
• Must understand the Red Lake Tribal Personnel Policies & procedures and the Chemical Health Programs Chain of Command.
• Employment contingent upon successfully passing Pre-Employment Drug/Alcohol Test.
