Thomas R. Fohrenkam, 62 of Cloquet passed away peacefully on February 23, 2016 in St. Luke's Hospital, surrounded by his wife and family.

He was born on January 22, 1954 in Minneapolis, MN to Robert and Camilla (Fisher) Fohrenkam.

Thomas was a proud member of the Fond du Lac Band of the Lake Superior Chippewa. He retired from Black Bear Casino. Thomas enjoyed fishing, camping and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Louis Fohrenkam, William Holmes and James Holmes; sister Janice Johnson and his parents.

Thomas is survived by his wife Charlene; children Thomas (Kristie), Morningstar (Dennis) Holmes, Littlefawn Fohrenkam and Standing Bear (Andrea) Fohrenkam; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings Evelyn (John) Bradford, Kimberly (John) Fohrenkam, Bonnie Fohrenkam, Sharon Lussier, Duane Holmes, Yvonne (Melvin) Strong, Patricia (Bill) Holmes, Thomas (Cindy) Holmes and Michael Holmes; auntie Lois Erickson; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin at on Thursday, February 25, 2016 and will continue throughout the evening until the 10 am Traditional Funeral Service on Friday, February 2, 2016 in the Sawyer Community Center, Sawyer, MN. Interment in Sawyer Cemetery, Sawyer.
