Mother in I-40 incident has several tribal land arrests on record

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —A baby left on Interstate 40 earlier this week is OK, but the mother is in plenty of trouble. And it’s not her first run-in with the law.

Georgette Vigil, 36, has a criminal record that dates back 15 years, police say.

The first arrest was back in 2001. She was charged with being under the influence. In 2009, there’s a charge of public drunkenness on her record.
