Local graduation report

BEMIDJI -- Bemidji High School narrowed two key achievement gaps in 2015, according to data released this week by the Minnesota Department of Education.

The state’s graduation report shows that 86.2 percent of students at Bemidji High School graduated on time last year, compared to 83.2 percent of those students in 2014. The school also made progress in two areas it has emphasized -- the rate for Native American students climbed 13 percentage points, and the rate for students receiving free or reduced lunch climbed 16 points.

In 2015 at Bemidji High School, 73.5 percent of Native American students graduated on time; 78.4 percent of students received free or reduced lunch graduated on time.
