Douglas James Jourdain, age 52, of Minneapolis Journeyed to the Spirit World on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at his residence.

He was born on September 3, 1962 in Red Lake, Minnesota the son of Lavern Omen and Margaret Traxsinger.

Douglas was formerly employed in food service at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.

He was a son, husband, father, grandpa and was a good man. He loved his his wife and mother, kids and grandchildren dearly! He was always was strong minded and always kept our family together. He was a family man. He always stayed positive through difficult situations. He's the type of person to give his last dollar to his kids or grandkids when needed. He was responsible and had alot of courage and wisdom. Survived by his father Lavern Omen; mother: Margaret Traxsinger; survived by wife: Denise Jourdain; sons: Douglas Jourdain Jr., Vance Jourdain and Shane Jourdain; daugahters: Jessica Rock, Krista Jourdain and Dora Jourdain; ten grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral service for Douglas James Jourdain will be held on Monday, February 15th at 11:00 A.M. at Church of Blessed Kateri in Minneapolis. Pastor Hartwell will officiate.

An all night wake will be held on Sunday, February 14th beginning at 7:00 P.M. at Church of Blessed Kateri in Minneapolis.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Krista Jourdain, Dora Jourdain, Cynthia Gonzalez Jourdain, Mya Jourdain, Cristian Gonzalez Jr., Selena Jourdain, Vance Jourdain, Doug Jourdain Jr., Genesis Louis, Jessica Rock and Anthony Jourdain.

Casket Bearers Frank Crandall, Shane Jourdain, Jack Louis, Ricardo Rojas, Desire Rojas, Ronnie Brazil, Mark Taylor, Jose Vences and Cristian Gonzalez Sr..
