1 killed, 2 hurt in car crash on tribal land in Scottsdale

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say one person has been killed and two others injured after two vehicles crashed in Scottsdale on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.

Tribal police say the accident occurred Thursday afternoon, but didn't immediately release many details.

They say investigators are trying to piece together the moments leading up to the crash on Dobson and McKellips roads.

The name and age of the person who died hasn't been released yet.

Footage from television news helicopters shows two vehicles with front-end damage.
