Tribe requesting the return of 3 deceased Arapaho children

RIVERTON, Wyo. (AP) — The Northern Arapaho Tribal Historic Preservation Office is aware of three Arapaho students who remain buried at the Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania after more than a century. The site is the home of what was once the Carlisle Indian School from 1879 to 1918.

Horace Washington, Hayes Vanderbilt Friday "Charles, Little Plume," and Dickens Nor "Little Chief" attended the school in the late 1800s, and when they died their bodies were interred in the Carlisle Barracks Cemetery.
