Dale Gordon VanWert Sayers, 35, of Minneapolis, entered the spiritual world on February 3rd, 2016 from his home in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was born to Alvina Sayers and Lester VanWert Jr. on February 23, 1979 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Dale had a unique sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Dale loved music and playing cards and dice games. He was a jack of all trades. He adored and cherished his children. He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents; Lester Gary VanWert Jr. and Alvina Katherine Sayers, brothers; Quinton Daniel Sayers and Adrian Lee Sayers Sr., grandparents; Royce Sayer and Esther Fairbanks, Katherine Agnes VanWert and Lester Gary VanWert Sr., and nephew; Levi Eriks Auginash.

Those he leaves behinds are his two children; Gordon Daniel and Aiyanna Katherine, siblings; Jason VanWert, Melissa (Curtis) FireCloud, Lester "Moe" (Karena) Loud, Cody (Sherene) Loud, Esther Sayers, Linda (McKinley) Sayers and Lori (Paul) Sayers, serveral nieces and nephews, close cousins and many friends.

A wake for Dale will begin at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 9th and continue until his traditional service at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 12th all being held at the Old Little Rock Community Center in Red Lake, Minnesota. Helping to lay Dale to rest are Gordon Sayers, Lester "Moe" Loud, Cody Loud, Golden Stately, Keith Neadeau, Paul Crosby, Robbie Brown, Rich (a good friend) and Brandon Neadeau. His honorary pallbearers are Daryl Barrett, Tyrone Barrett, Vernon May, Rain Stately, Robert Demarr, Mike Dominquez, Loren Barrett, John Jourdain, Bruce Jourdain, John Lussier, Turk Lussier, Mike Defoe, Jeremiah Defoe and McKinley Auginash III. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery following his Friday service.
