Tax preparation assistance available

BEMIDJI -- Tax preparation assistance for people age 60 and older or for those with incomes below $53,000 is available at the Senior Center, 216 Third St. NW.

Tax counselors will be available from 9:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays until April 15.

The counselors will need photo identification, social security cards for all individuals on the return, including dependents, as well as copies of all forms of income and information on health insurance coverage. If applying for a renter’s credit, the certificate of rent paid (CRP) is also needed.
