Dayton returns home after fainting
ST. PAUL -- Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton, who was suddenly hospitalized Sunday evening after fainting, headed home late Monday afternoon.
“He will be returning to the Residence shortly and will return to a normal schedule tomorrow. He is grateful for the excellent level of care he received while a patient at Regions,” Dayton senior adviser Bob Hume said in a statement.
Dayton, who has been hospitalized for procedures on his hip and back during his term, was at a private Woodbury event Sunday night when he began to feel “increased pressure in his lower back,” which was followed by dizziness and light-headedness. He was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul for observation.
