Woman found dead beneath St. Cloud bridge, second body found along river

ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- Stearns County Sheriff's Office investigators are awaiting autopsy results to determine the cause of death of a 21-year-old woman found Sunday underneath Granite City Crossing Bridge in St. Cloud.

A person walking on the bridge called police at about 12:20 p.m. to report that a woman was on the ice of the Mississippi River. Sheriff's officials removed the body and sent it to Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

St. Cloud police had received a missing person report earlier Sunday that may be related to the woman found on the river, according to the Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff's Office is responsible for investigating incidents on the river.
